Sadie's Story

Sadie. Sadie is a regal and easy-going Vizsla and Lab mix.

She adores patrolling the porch. She is also really scared of hammocks. Sadie is a dedicated partner to humans (even though she sometimes sleeps in the laundry basket when no one looking).

But one sad day, Sadie's human realized that she had too many pets and could no longer take care of her. Her human had no other choice than to put Sadie up for adoption.
But Sadie, like all dogs, does not dwell on the past. She lives in the present and wags her tail for the future. Sadie is a friendly, medium energy dog. Sadie's warm and friendly nature makes her the ultimate family pup. Sadie can be a bit of a barker . We recommend a home where she'll get lots of playtime.

She is basically house broken, but will have accidents if left alone for too long.

Before Adopting Sadie

Sadie is a friendly, medium energy Lab/Vesla Mix. Be ready for action. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.

Friendliness: Labs are loyal, loving, affectionate and patient. They are very intelligent and will enjoy playing a long game of fetch. Make sure you introduce your pup to lots of friends so he does not become too shy.

Grooming: The Lab's smooth short-haired coat is easy to groom. Brush and comb their coat weekly with a firm, bristle brush. Labs love swimming so make sure you wash out all the pond water after each swim.

Health: Your Lab loves food but make sure he doesn't eat too much as some Labs can become obese. Feeding your pup a healthy diet will ensure that he is feeling great.

Exercise: Labs LOVE the water and never pass up the opportunity for a good swim. Besides swimming, they can be taken on a daily long walk, jog or run alongside you when you bicycle.
