Etti's Story

Etti. Etti is a loving and happy Chocolate Lab.

She is mad for airplanes and loves to play with Q-tips. Etti is really, really cute. And even though she often eats any morsel of food that stays on the ground for more than 5 seconds, she is as beloved a friend as any pup could be.

It breaks my heart to tell you, but Etti was found in a shopping cart behind a farmers market with a cardboard sign saying "FREE DOG". Etti was brought to ShelterPups.com where she is being cared for temporarily while she waits each day for her forever home.
The past doesn't matter to Etti. She's ready to start a new life in a new home, right now! Etti is an easy going, medium energy dog. Etti's infinitely kind heart makes her the ultimate family pup for humans with lots of friends. Etti is often a bit of a barker and she'll be best in a home where she can get to spend plenty of time with humans.

She had some accidents when she first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.

Things You Should Know
Before Adopting Etti

Etti is a easy going, medium energy Chocolate Labrador. Be ready to have this pup always at your side. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.

There's a whole lot of Chocolate Labrador in this Shelter Pup!

Friendliness: Chocolate Labs are loyal, loving, affectionate and patient. They are very intelligent and will enjoy playing a long game of fetch. Make sure you introduce this pup to lots of friends so he does not become too shy.

Grooming: The Chocolate Lab's smooth short-haired coat is easy to groom. Brush and comb their coat weekly with a firm, bristle brush. Chocolate Lab's love swimming so make sure to wash out all the pond water after each swim.

Health: Your Chocolate Lab loves food but make sure he doesn't eat too much as some Chocolate Labs can become obese. Feeding this pup a healthy diet will ensure that he is feeling great.

Exercise: Chocolate Labs LOVE the water and never pass up the opportunity for a good swim. Besides swimming, they can be taken on a daily, brisk, long walk, jog or run alongside you when you bicycle.
