Fellow humans, I'd like you to meet Daniel. Daniel is a thoughtful and happy young boy. He is a Chihuahua.
He is unbelievably fun. He loves cherry frozen yogurt. He has a favorite treat: cold french fries.
Daniel is a tireless pal to humans (even though he sometimes sleeps in the laundry basket when no one looking).
Unfortunately, Daniel was found abandoned in a cardboard box in a parking garage. Daniel was saved by a courageous animal loving human and brought to Shelterpups.com for a second chance at a great life.
Daniel hopes for just one thing: a fresh start in a new home. Your home! Daniel is a friendly, medium energy dog. Daniel's gentle demeanor makes him the perfect adoptable friend. Daniel is often a little TOO affectionate sometimes and he is recommended for a home where he'll get tons of attention.
He had some accidents when he first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.
Things You Should Know Before Adopting Daniel
Daniel is a friendly, medium energy Chihuahua. Be ready for action. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.
There's a whole lot of Chihuahua in this Shelter Pup!
Friendliness: Chihuahuas may look small and timid but these pups have confidence and attitude. They are proud, graceful, and dainty. The Chihuahua's favorite activity is being held by their favorite human. This pup may even do tricks to get your attention! Make sure you save plenty of time for your Chihuahua and never leave him alone for long periods of time.
Grooming: Chihuahuas can have long or short hair. Short haired Chihuahuas are low maintenance and only require an occasional grooming. Unlike many other long-haired breeds, long-haired Chihuahuas require no trimming and minimal grooming.
Health: Chihuahua are very healthy but also very tiny. Because they are so small it is important to help them stay safe -no jumping from high places or rough play with large dogs. Chihuahuas are also very sensitive to cold weather and should always be kept indoors.
Exercise: Chihuahuas may spend many lazy hours just laying around but they are still considered active dogs and require exercise. Because of their small size, simply running around your house gives them plenty of exercise!
